Today we focus our attention to Eddie Hazel, the electric guitarist on the Funkadelic’s song Maggot Brain. On this cut we hear nothing but 10 minutes of a Soul Brother working the hell out of his guitar. The folk story goes, George Clinton told E. Hazel to play as if “his mother had died, yet came back to life.” And the end result is wow!
